CaptJim
There is a SF25b forsale here in Fla but not registered yet. Is this an aircraft worth pursuing for purchase? seems a bit slow for a touring motorglider. is there cargo capacity? what to look out for. Powered by a Stumo VW1600. thanks,

X-15
Hi CaptJim, do you have a picture from this airplane? 70 kts cruise with a SAUER 1800 engine is normal. Green Sector 38 - 81 kts. There is carco capacity, but not so much. But it is a lovely airplane for flying !

eugenio
Please take note that earlier SF25b were fitted with the Stamo 1500 (not the Stumo) that was a 36hp VW beefed up. It gives you only 45 hp and is quite hard to take off from short fields and with high outside temperatures, plus engine spare parts are very difficult to find. You can upgrade it by installing a bigger engine, Limbach 1700 or 2000, Sauer 1800 or 2100 if certified od any othew VW like Great Plains or Aerovee or similar if experimental. In any case the cruise speed of all Falke is between 130 and 150 Km/h (the b with the Stamo cruise at 100/110 Km/h).Eugenio
