Barry.h
After years of trying and few interupted attempts - I finally got to fly the Morning Glory. Three times!! The Phoenix is perfect for this: great for cruising the 1,200nm trip up, then handled the Glory cloud beautifully. The lcoal news weatherman gave a very good overview of what the Morning Glory is (with some of my video): https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1020640395753694 I have started a youtube channel (www.youtube.com/@flightsofthephoenix) and just posted the video of our first wave day. Subscribe to get the follow up videos of the next 2 wave flights. (when I get time to edit them!!) Thats why I love my Phoenix! Tom Clary
Beautiful. Were you flying in close formation with someone? Otherwise, I could not figure out how you got some of the shots. Tom
Barry.h
Hi Tom, the outside video, and most of the inside, was shot on an Insta360 One X 360 degree camera on a stick out the window which takes a high resolution complete sphere video. The software manages to make the stick disappear when you process it afterwards and extarct the view you want.
Barry.h
I am recently back from another very successful Morning Glory season. This year I was joined by fellow Phoenix owner Andreas Clauss from France. We caught 3 clouds this year, and had a fantastic trip up and around the area. There are a few new videos on my channel so if you are not already - you know the drill - Like and subscribe!! This is our first (and smallest) cloud.
