Looking back

Turning over Starr Mountain, just NE of Chilhowee Mountain, looking SW, this perspective shows Chilhowee in the background and the Hiawassee River as it snakes between Chilhowee and Starr in the foreground. Just right of the highway (411) you can just make out Chilhowee gliderport. Chilhowee hosts a big fly-in every fall they call "Octoberfest". It's common to have 75+ pilots show up if the weather cooperates. Photo taken 10-15-11.
