Around the world Ximango

This is one of the early Aeromot AMT-100's that was built for an around the world flight back in the late 80's. When I visited Aeromot it was back in the factory for a 12,000 hour inspection. This Ximango was built with 75 gallon fuel capacity. Factory drop tests proved the landing gear needed no modification to allow for the additional weight of the extra fuel. Engineering and dynamic analysis showed no other airframe modifications were necessary to compensate for the additional weight, either.
