I have just joined the group and thought I should introduce myself.
I am from Lake Elsinore California.
I am a Glider pilot and have my own Schreder HP-11.
Also have a couple projects, a Kolb UltraStar Ultralight almost ready
for flight after sorting out the CHT temps, and a Moni MotorGlider
that is about 80% complete.
I have been looking for a suitable 2 seat motor glider and have been
seriously considering the Grob 109 as it seems to be a good value and
does not necessarily have to be hangered indoors.
It also meets my needs for L/D, range, capacity, cruise speeds etc.
Can any owners relate their experiences with a Grob-109 so that I
have an idea what I should consider in terms of maintenance and
upkeep.
I also wondered what the TBO for the Engine and prop is and if there
are some sources for parts in the US.
Also if you know of any for sale I would be interested in the leads.
Thanks,
Ray

Hey Ray,
I work in Lake Elsinore and keep our G109 in Oceanside
near my home. My partner in the G109 also shares a
hangar in Fallbrook where we keep two airworthy H301
Libelles plus a non-airworthy H301 as a "parts plane"
and a 1-26. Give me a call at 760-908-3353 and maybe
we can share some thoughts on the G-109.

Give me a call, I live up here in Big Bear, and have got a 109. I'm
thinking of selling it, but haven't got it cleaned up from winter or
listed yet. Anyway I'll let you fly it (another excuse to fly), and
you can see how you like it.

Hi,
I have a 109A that is not currently for sale but that I was considering selling this summer. The 109A is somewhat different than the 109B. I was not sure which model you were interested in. I believe (and may be wrong) that the 109A is really called a 109 and people added the A to differentiate it from the 109B. In any case if you need more information about the 109A or 109B please let me know. I will attempt to answer any questions that you have.
