I was looking over the posts and noticed that apparently Korff is the only place to find parts for the 17E. I just recently emailed Korff to find a new signal pin and was very pleased with how quickly I received a response. I sent the email around 11:00 AM local time which if I am right around 6:00 PM in Germany, so I didn't expect a response until the next morning. When I checked my email the next morning there was the reply and it was informative and very helpful. I don't know how long it is going to take to actually get the parts that I need, but I imagine they are doing there best to get them to me in a timely manner.

I wish I knew the magic charm you used to get such a rapid and helpful response. I sent Korff an e-mail a week ago, both in German and English and have yet to hear from them. I need a replacement for the gas/spring in the tube that holds up the back end of the canopy, but no word from Korff. What e-mail address did you use? - perhaps the one on their website doesn't work.

THE WHOLE GAS TUBE HAS TO BE REPLACED. AN ALTERNATIVE IS TO GET A SPRING FROM A HARDWARE STORE THAT FITS OVER THE TUBE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TUBE BETWEEN THE ATTACHING POINTS, WITH THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF PRESSUSE TO OPEN THE CANOPY
